There's the Oktoberfest at OLHC this Sun from 11:30 to 4:00pm.  I've never been so I don't know how the food or games are, but there's a $10,000 dollar raffle!

Why do we have to pay $10000 to join a raffle?

This weekend my dad's coming into town, so I can't meet. The weeknights this week are fine (except Fri when we pick him up), but next week's weekdays are out (out of town on business). We're not normally this busy... Big Grin

As for me, I am an old guy, 54 in Costa Mesa, Orange County.  I go to Mass in Garden Grove @ Our Lady Help of Christians and Eucharistic Adoration/confession @St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa.  We are blessed to have three parishes with the extraordinary forum however my parish just is Tridentine
Pax
Daniel

We travelled to SoCal in July and attended Mass both Sundays at Our Lady of Help. Quiet enjoyed Fr. Perez. Lovely chapel, oh the reverence! It was so nice to see EVERY woman with a head covering.
Also, loved the bookstore. Can't wait to go back next summer and visit.

I'm getting in late on this thread, but I'm down here in southern California too.  I'm in Encinitas (North of San Diego, south of Oceanside).  I was born in Westminster and at that time my parents lived in Garden Grove.  Wow it's a small world!

I'd love to join a get-together with other good Catholics.  I've also got a brother, Danny, here who teaches at the Army/Navy academy in Oceanside.  I'm sure he'd love to join any get-togethers as well.

No but I've got two of them.  There was a stray cat at work that had kittens so I took two of them.  They're getting big and they're very tame now!
