Thanks, all! He and my mama and sisters conspired over the proposal, and Mom actually recorded it so his mom could "be there," too. So he was surrounded by four crying women for a while there.

I suspected he yesterday was the day, due to all the whispering whenever I left the room, and the fact that everyone looked really nervous. My heart nearly hammered out of my chest every time he moved a muscle.
The ring is his mom's original engagement ring, which she couldn't wear anymore and couldn't have sized up without replacing the whole setting. I'd commented earlier that it was all the more special for having a story, and I'd have been thrilled with one of twine if it had a family history. He remembered that, and my sisters made a twine ring (to fit me!) and had it in the box, too. Libby even singed the ends with a lighter.

Definitely will be holding on to that for good!
Katharine, sorry I didn't reply earlier--have been working almost constantly lately. We'll get cracking on those boys once the wedding is behind us!
