This is a book about buying baby stuff?

I wouldn't get it. People gave us stuff and we shopped at thrift shops. We didn't have ********everything******** we wanted, but we all survived!

I dunno, but I wouldn't buy it.  Go thumb thru it at the library, and if it has some good advice just jot down on a notepad.

The same couple came out with one for getting married - it was all the rage and obsolete a year after publication.

All the information you would find out in that book can be found for free on the internet, or gleaned from friends or family who have recently had children. When it comes to buying baby stuff, or even books about how to cheaply buy baby stuff, "just say no"! It's a trap- you think that everything looks cute and they convince you that you *need* something when you don't. Also, ask FE moms for tips - most of them have babies on the cheap and can give advice if you have questions.

Well I was looking at this book actually precisely because I have their book on wedding planning and found it extremely helpful.

I didn't end up buying the baby book, though, if anybody was curious.
