is that like a handbook or manual for the Third Order. I've never been to a SSPX mass, the clostest chapel is 2.5 hours from home.

Agreed. Not only does it have all the important prayers and devotions, but it also has background info and things of that sort to flesh everything out. Not a bad deal at all.

I joined the Third Order SSPX in June of this year. Our main goal is to support priests with our prayers and to live in accordance with the Rule of the Third Order, which you will find in Christian Warfare. Christian Warfare is indeed a wonderful book. It is small but has many, many wonderful prayers (in English and in Latin). We have a new person who is compiling names of people who are interested and want more information. If anyone wants to be put in touch with her, please PM me, and I will give you her mailing address. As for me, joining the TO/SSPX was the single best spiritual decision I have ever made. God bless you all.

I am Third Order SSPX. If you have any questions, I would be happy to try and answer them I do have to tell you though, that I am only on every other day or so. So a response may be slow in coming Are you required to give up television completely? Any kind of meetings, etc? Thank you! Television is not allowed. We do not have meetings here because there are only two of us out here in the Mormon wilds of Utah. We do get together often, though.

Thought I read on the SSPX site that TV was just supposed to be minimized. (I have a hard time imagining that the SSPX would object to someone using their TV to watch something edifying such as old episodes of "Life is Worth Living" or whatnot.)

From the site: 5. What are the main obligations for a member of the Third Order?
Some may be called negative: for instance, habitual abstinence from television. Why? Not only because most of the shows are near occasions of sin by their indecent pictures, but also because even when not featuring sex or violence, TV remains essentially imbued with the spirit of the world. This spirit is a spirit of love of self, of pride, of comfort, of self-enjoyment, of earthly pleasure. This spirit is quite opposed to the spirit of Our Lord, which is a spirit of love for God, of humility, of sacrifice, of the Cross, of true spiritual joy. Radio and newspapers are sufficient means to keep oneself aware of the news.

Do third Order SSPX members have to attend a Society chapel exclusively or can one attend a church staffed by the FSSP or ICKSP?
And does anyone know where to get "Christian Warfare" other than at a Society church? I can't find it on Amazon.com or at angeluspress.org

Common sense tells me that Third Order members should definitely make every effort to attend SSPX masses. There are things that the SSPX stands for that the FSSP and others don't (things that can be seen on numerous other threads). If you're dedicated to the ideals of the SSPX enough to actually join them, then going to their masses is the logical choice.
