^I was thinking "bloody shirt" but I guess your theory makes a lot more sense...

Believe me, HAL 1000's (correction:  HAL 9000) theory (i.e., his posting of the Wiki link) about Mrs. Spock's use of the term "red shirt" is completely non-theoretical.  It is a statement of fact.  There's no chance Mrs. Spock was referring to "bloody shirt."

If we lived in something like the same state I'd take you to a movie or dinner or lunch or something but... sorry.

You have the problem of not living in the same state as her, I have the problem of not living in the same continent!

lol, the thought is appreciated, you two.  Tell you what, I'll let you know if I'm ever in your area (not likely, at this point, but you never know)

You have one thing going for you, though, if you live on the continent on which I think you live (you need not confirm or deny my guess):  lots of trains that go everywhere.  Europe.

Okay.  If it happens, I'll have even more proof that God exists. Smiley

So lads,  fill out my application to date my daughter on page 2 of this thread.

Mum would love to see her marry a good Catholic boy, not to mention get her out of the house.  ;-)

With my frequent flier miles racking up, I may even be able to fly you over for the joust.

Don't give up.  My prayers are with you all.

Well, I downloaded the application.  The only puzzling thing about it will be the medical history, since I have so little of it.  The only thing I could probably dig up are the results of my last physical, which the techs seemed astounded by. Smiley  Anyway, I'll do the best I can.

That's very kind of you, even for a girl with such pointy ears.

I dunno, I think the idea of being Mrs. Spock's second husband would be intimidating. That pointy-eared guy might be a hard act to follow. Wink
