We saw the movie. Not bad. There were hat tips or two to God, in a good way, and the main character was conflicted morally about something other than ruining mother earth, so I didn't feel the need to walk out.
I couldn't believe how many parents took their little kids to see it. There were tons of 7-10 year olds there.

No matter how bad it was at least the little ones are seeing something other than that Twilight shite. There's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back.

The Joker from "The Dark Knight" said it correctly: "Whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you...stranger." So true. And I've also seen Twilight...apart from the glittering "vampires," it was the most boring piece of film I have ever seen. Would make as a good treatment for insomnia.

Yesterday my priest railed against the Twilight books and movies. Like passionately railed against them. Said they were the antithesis of the Gospel etc. Was it seriously that bad?!? I haven't read the books or seen the movies, but I can tell you from my experiences with teen-aged aspiring writers--all girls--that most of them were obsessed with thinking and talking and writing about this stuff. It wasn't just creativity being sparked. It was a little creepy.

I think the worst part about them isn't anything to do with vampires persay. It has to do the "romance" that is filling the heads of young ones. (I know it filled mine when I was younger). It's the modern portrayal of "love" and "commitment" that is directly contributing to the dissolving of marriages, selfishness, and lack of true commitment that we see in society.
Also, the vampire thing is weird and it obviously feeds on some perverse rape fantasy that is prevalent in modern girls.

I'd hope he'd have more important things to talk about. I hope the next sermon isn't about the evils of Dragon Ball Z. Also, the vampire thing is weird and it obviously feeds on some perverse rape fantasy that is prevalent in modern girls. I think there is some truth to that.

Lots of those dykewolfmen in the midwest. They wear flannel and hang out at bowling alley bars, thick-rimmed glasses and all.

This goes back a long ways. You had the original Dracula novel which women loved in the late 1800's then Dracula film starring Bela Lugosi which made him a sex symbol same with Christopher lee and women also loved the vampire Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows in the 60's women have always had some weird attraction to Vampires. I guess todays version are these glitter wearing fagpyers.

This is also true. Chicks have dug vamps for a long time. Fortunately, most of the ones I know realize that Edward isn't all he's cracked up to be. This trailer for "Twilight: Modern Warfare 2" sums it up perfectly:
