I'm seeing it tonight. I'll be back here around 2 central time. Hopefully the power doesn't go out or anything. It's all rainy and creepy here.
Have fun! Let us know what you think. I'm going to watch Quarantine tonight I think. It's a close second to Paranormal Activity.

Well, I went and saw the movie last night (and another one right afterward, but I digress) and none of you showed up either. Sounds about right.
I thought it was really good and I'm looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out on DVD. I definitely thought it was creepy, but not too much. I had no problem watching it and the only thing that made me kind of freaked out was knowing that I'd be getting back to a dark and empty apartment with nothing to keep me occupied around 3 am. That being said, it was really very good. I thought the rhythm of the movie was really great. You go through these hellish nights with these two people and then with the sunrise comes a certain sense of comfort. You are ok now. The banter between the couple during the day is really funny and great comedic relief. It's a movie of pretty intense highs and lows. In fact, in some ways it felt like a rollercoaster (which is a cliche movie description, but this is one where it actually applies). When nighttime starts to set in you just dread it as much as they do. You know the s^%@ hit the fan last night and now it's just going to get worse.
The scariest thing about it is the content. At some parts of the movie, and even now, I have to question whether it's good for Catholics to really get into films like this.
I will admit to being pretty darn terrified with one particular scene in this movie, but that's only because it really hit home. One of the scenes from later in the movie happened in exactly the same way to my mother once. It's the single most terrifying thing I've ever heard in my life and it gave me the willies (and beyond) to think my own dear mother has seen and been through such a thing. I won't give it away to those who haven't seen the film yet.

We were there. You were just cowering under the cheats rocking back and forth and humming. I hope you changed your sheets by now.

Yes. Me, too. I wonder if it was the same scene. Send me a PM when you get a chance...
