How in the heck did you ever get jobs like that...all I ever got to do was make paper-mâché models of the Balkans and produce propaganda lying to the Serbs that we were there to help...LOL The coolest thing I ever did was get heat stroke on an exercise and ended up on the ground with my buddy laughing at the ants on the road next to us as they went about their business...

I always liked this one. Walking around as one of the 2ID's AG "aides", it was pleasantly inconspicuous. That fact that you can fire it without even opening the case, is a sweet plus. Not much space for the sandwich and thermos though.

Sometimes the Internet reminds me of being in a chicken coop with an infinite number of Chicken Littles at any given millisecond dodging pieces of their falling skies.
There is a subtle difference between "invincible ignorance" and intolerably stupid.

Well guys, after much consideration, I've changed my mind from when i started this thread.. After talking about it at length with my Father-in-law (who just happens to be an FBI agent), I've decided against the 1911, and decided to go with the Taurus Millenium Pro .45 ACP. Pretty, innit? Still uses my favorite round, actually holds more than the full-frame 1911, in a midframe pistol. It's a heck of a punkin' chunker, and a a lot easier to conceal.

 How about self-defense for starters?

Should Catholics carry a gun on their person ?
I am not an American, therefore I am not aware how many Americans feel the need to carry guns with them. It's like America hasn't moved on from the gun slinging cowboy days.

Should St. Peter have carried his sword to Gethsemani? That's what decided it for me.

You watch too many movies Gun slinging cowboys are mostly a myth. There were territorial issues with ranchers and such, but that was technically outside the United States (they were not states). As for Americans, areas with the highest legal gun ownership rates have the least violent crime. Areas with the most strict laws have the most violent crime. Most legal guns never see a criminal action and criminals will get guns no matter what. As for carrying guns, very few feel the "need", but it is a right. A good right. Otherwise, only criminals are allowed to carry guns.

Absolutely not! They should carry at least two, in case the first one fails at the most inopportune time. That, and sometimes a "New York" reload is faster than reloading your primary. Two is one, and one is none.
