Kennedy Will Meet With Bishop After Saying Catholic Church Not Pro-LifeWashington, DC -- Congressman Patrick Kennedy says he will meet with his Catholic bishop after saying that the Catholic Church is not pro-life because it opposes the health care bills in Congress over their government funding of abortions. Kennedy said that in an interview last week and was quickly rebuked by Bishop Thomas Tobin. http://www.lifenews.com/state4535.html

The Kennedy dynasty should have been discredited back in the 1930s with its patriarch's, Joseph P. Kennedy, money made in bootlegging and his support for the Nazis. Of course, on the latter issue, he and +Williamson might have been fellow travelers.

Being formerly of the People's Republic of Massachusetts I feel particularly entitled to Kennedy-bash.
For God's sake, can't they just shut the hell up, all of them? Holy crap, the best thing that ever happened to that damned family was John getting his head blown off in Dallas......they have been eating a free lunch off of that for 46 years.

Do you have proof that Bishop Williamson is a Nazi sympathizer? So in your little neocon world if you dont follow the holocaust industry's credo that 400 million Jews were killed your a nazi sympathizer? You sure dont like it when people make fun of JPII who was a complete idiot and did more damage to the Church than a thousand freemasons ever could but when it comes to a man who has been white martyrd by jews the media and fellow "Catholics" like you you cant wait to pick on him. Why are you here this is for traditional Catholics You would probably be more comfortable at Catholic answers where you can pray to JPII and bash Bishop Williamson to your little Novus Ordo hearts content.

So now the Kennedy family were "nazi-collaborators" too like the Bush's. Here we go........a "nazi" under every stone. I won't even entertain the ridiculous Williamson comment.

I think I was unfair to both Kennedy and +Williamson. Kennedy, like Charles Lindbergh, held favorable views of Hitler, but was appalled when he learned of the atrocities in the Holocaust ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Kennedy). My comment about +Williamson was unfair because, no, even though I found his comment about the Holocaust detestable and historically inaccurate (by the way, how much studying of history does the good Bishop have under his belt?), that is different than being a Nazi sympathizer, but I have to admit I don't particularly care for +Williamson personally and I think he has damaged, by his outlandish comments (and not just the Holocaust one) the SSPX and the Traditional movement and its possibility, for the Canonically irregular SSPX I mean, of being integrated back into the Church.

Simon Wiesenthal in an interview in the 1960's said that 5 million Jews killed in all the camps was an exaggeration. Today the number tauted is 6 million, apparently more exaggeration. This interview brought down the wrath of many Jewish organizations like B'nai B'rith. They took all of the records he had of the nazi extermination camps away from him. He and only a few others had these documents, and they were not shared with the world. I point this out because the Vatican had been asking for access for a very long time. The truth is in those documents and they are just now being made available to historians. So it could take a decade before some courageous historian writes the truth, His Lordship may not even be alive then. And his remark was directed to the gas chambers specifically, in that they were not designed properly to do mass exterminations, this does not leave out all the myriad ways those men could dream of killing people. tim

Of course, on the latter issue, he and +Williamson might have been fellow travelers. Does everything have to be a battle against the SSPX with you? I'm no supporter of theirs either, but seriously man. You're barely a one-trick-pony.

But +Williamson makes an easy target thought. Still, I guess I shouldn't do that kind of stuff. Sorry. My point about Kennedy still stands. He made his money bootlegging and he was a Nazi sympathizer at one point (he lost his position as Ambassador the UK because of it).
