As explained on my site, my mother made rosaries and added a bead to a strand after every rosary. Making rosaries can take a lot of time. It is very hard to make rosaries quickly, as it can even for callused finger tips, cause blisters on parts which you can't help but press against wire, repeatedly.

However, in the short time I've been make rosaries, I have been able to make at least 150 rosaries. Each bead here represents one 5 decade rosary or a 15 decade rosary. The photo is incredibly washed out (the light blue beads which stand out are actually a dark blue, so you can see almost all detail is lost), but here it is: http://img17.imageshack.us/i/1stinc.jpg/

Ros, do you want another rosary, I've just received another in the mail, and I'd be happy to send it over to you.

Donations of rosaries are very helpful. Thank you. If you anticipate having rosaries like that, perhaps you could wait until you have a bunch to send, to save on shipping and hassle for yourself.

I do get donations of rosaries which seem to be premade, like in some sort of mailing. How does one get subscribed to such things? I recently received a package of many such rosaries, indicating that it is a regular mailing. I have seen rosaries of these kind quite often now that I am familiar with them. I see them in the church, on the tables and statues (tables which are not actually in the church, the ones "outside" which have the announcements and bulletins and such). It seems people who get them don't really want them.

For those interested in helping, as it was brought up here (I just wanted to show that rosary...it has no uniform pattern is a complete "mess" of a rosary, but each bead represents a complete rosary somewhere), if a rosary is sent to me, I will eventually find a home for it, but because of my current practices (I no longer try to fulfill large requests), the issue is more of shipping costs. The other issue is addressing envelopes. I wish I had a way of cheaply automating that. While I never know when I'm going to get a request, sometimes I get many in a single day, and other times it goes for days without any requests, so having a good stock of rosaries ready removes a potential problem. At the moment, I have many requests backed up so I hope to get them all fulfilled this week to mail on Friday.

I am also thinking that people who will have more than a one time rosary to send should not have to use me as a middleman. I tried a while ago to have a group with the purpose of sending rosaries directly to the people in need individually, but it attracted more spam than anything and I closed it. If anyone is interested in having such a group, where the requests could be distributed to those able to fulfill them, please contact me.

I have sent out more than 155 (I forgot the "tail" of the rosary in my first post). I am not going to go through my records (all on paper) to count them, but I think I can safely say I have sent out "around 1000" rosaries, perhaps more.

I never knew there was such a demand out there (and I'm somewhat embarrassed my site is top on searches for free rosaries).
