Discerning my vocation to the cardinalate

Here's a link to the document: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_ben-xvi_apc_20091104_anglicanorum-coetibus_en.html

There is also a set of so-called 'Complimentary Norms': http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20091104_norme-anglicanorum-coetibus_en.html

As far as I can tell, none of these say anything unexpected. The rumour about the priesthood being expanded to married men as a whole was unfounded, and is really an ancillary issue in any case compared to everything else in here.

VI. § 1. Those who ministered as Anglican deacons, priests, or bishops, and who fulfill the requisites established by canon law[13] and are not impeded by irregularities or other impediments[14] may be accepted by the Ordinary as candidates for Holy Orders in the Catholic Church. In the case of married ministers, the norms established in the Encyclical Letter of Pope Paul VI Sacerdotalis coelibatus, n. 42[15] and in the Statement In June[16] are to be observed. Unmarried ministers must submit to the norm of clerical celibacy of CIC can. 277, §1.

§ 2. The Ordinary, in full observance of the discipline of celibate clergy in the Latin Church, as a rule (pro regula) will admit only celibate men to the order of presbyter. He may also petition the Roman Pontiff, as a derogation from can. 277, §1, for the admission of married men to the order of presbyter on a case by case basis, according to objective criteria approved by the Holy See.

interesting, but the Byzantine Ruthenian Catholic Church in USA has a similar policy, but in reality they RARELY if ever ordain married men, so I wouldnt read too much into it.

In Hungary, Ukraine, part of Popland etc almost all the Estern Catholic clergy is married, in Hungary no one is elegieble to be bishop. Since 1927 the Apostolic See requires the coelibatus outside their original areas, w/o any allowed case by case rule (afaik married and ordained priest are allowed to operate in case by case basis).

The importance is, that the problem for reason unknown to me remained unresolved, a small door is open. The door is small,  priest who were ordained in the Roman rite and live invalid marriage can not convert to be Anglicans an operate as clergy.

I know. It then remains basically the same as it has been for the past 20-something years under the Pastoral Provision, where there are a few married priests here and there in the United States today.

I don't know about that, the Ukrainians in North America have been ordaining married men without going to Rome for approval.  The Ukrainians, from what I hear, have a lot of married priests that were ordained on this continent.
