It's interesting that so many in the carbon-footprint camp are so firmly against the use of wood. One of the co-founders of Greenpeace has actually come out and advocated the responsible use of wood products: trees (especially young, fast-growing trees) are great at fixing atmospheric carbon, and the more trees we plant and turn into wooden objects, the more atmospheric carbon is fixed. Very seldom do you hear this from environmentalists in the Gore camp.
Well, that would make sense, and it's not sensational, to you probably won't hear it on the MSM. All you hear now, is CO2, as if man created it, and was using it to destroy the world. Never mind the fact that most of it is naturally occurring, and used by plants.
