"It's a trap!" --Admiral Ackbar
you're welcome, ONE AND ALL. Anyway... "After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true." - Spock, Amok TimeThis line has always stuck with me, and I think it is the wisest line in all of Star Trek. It always comes to mind when I don't get something that I wanted. Particularly when you figure in the context of the quote.

Star Trek: TOS "Trouble With Tribbles" Nilz Barris: Captain Kirk, I consider your security measures a disgrace. In my opinion, you have taken this important project far too lightly.
Kirk: On the contrary, sir, I think of this project as very important. It is you I take lightly. "Spock's Brain" Brain and brain! What is brain? McCoy:I knew it, I should never have done it! Kirk: What? McCoy: I never should have reconnected his mouth. Kirk: Well, we took the risk. Star Trek: TNG "Deja Q" Q:It's hard to work in a group when you are omnipotent Q:(to Riker) You're so stolid. You weren't like that before the beard Star Trek: DS9 "Little Green Men" Quark: All I ask for is a tall ship and some contraband to fill it with "Things Past" Garak: I remember the Occupation being a little more...tidy than this "In Purgatory's Shadow" Garak: I'd like to get my hands on that fellow Earl Grey and tell him a thing or two about tea leaves.

From: "This Side of Paradise"
Spock: "I've never understood the female capacity to avoid a direct answer to any question."
And the exchange...
Spock: "No, I don't think so." Kirk: "You don't think so.. WHAT?!! Spock: "I don't think so, Sir."
