"Two things: first, according to most prophecies, Antichrist will come after the reign of the Great Monarch. I'll list a few if you like. "
Yes, i would agree, however, Solange is a very knowledgeable and a incredibly intelligent person.

Well i guess we will soon find out, unless someone has an answer as to why the AC would come prior to the Great Monarch.

I got the the prophecy from http://www.essan.org/Prophecy/Catholic%20Prophecy/ it has a lot of them there, although it also has some by Popes John Paul II and Paul VI??  Huh?

I am wary however, as I understand that some prophecies by Saints have been corrupted by some (I've heard Yves Dupont has done this), and it seems like this one is a little TOO perfect. Thoughts?
Indeed.  Yves Dupont's book Catholic Prophecy contains at least one demonstrable falsehood, although the quotes from Mother Shipton are verifiable.  You can see what she had to say at the link.  You can also see a copy of the original book, hundreds of years old, so it cannot be said that the prophecies are late fabrications.  Ignore anything construed as New Age at the link, as all kinds of people like to make use of Catholic prophecy.

At the bottom of the first link it says:

Quote
It is now generally acknowledged that Mother Shipton was largely a myth, and that many of her prophecies were composed by others after her death, and after the events they 'predicted'. Her prophecies were apparently recorded in a series of diaries but the first published book of her work did not appear until 1641 and the most noted work, by Richard Head, came out in 1684. Head later admitted to inventing almost all Shipton's biographical details.

Plus, I thought Mother Shipton was considered more of a witch than a holy prophetess?

Take the last paragraph with a grain of salt, as it was written by non-Catholics to discredit the prophecies.  It has also been written that Head was being tortured at the time he "admitted inventing" the prophecies.

Even if the prophecies were not from Mother Shipton, many of them came true hundreds of years after having been prophesied, so someone had to have foreknowledge of the events.  Just read the prophecies and you'll see.

Mother Shipton wasn't a witch; she was killed for adhering to the Catholic Faith, just like many in England during that era.   It's the same old Protestant canard, just like they did with the suppression of the monasteries for "immorality."

What is the Church's stand on the Venerable Holzauser's prophecies? Have they given them a seal of approval?

Well, he has been made Venerable. That has to count for something.  Tongue

My understanding is that even if he is canonized, that still does not necessarily mean his writings have been fully accepted by the Church as acceptable for belief by the faithful. And, at most, all the Church could say about his prophecies is that it is allowable for the faithful to believe/accept them as a private revelation.

His prophecies have not, as far as I am aware, been condemned by the church, and his writings would certainly have been scrutinized before being declared venerable.
