St. Mary's in Norwalk is a great place. The priest there is young and is doing A LOT! He is even going to start restoring the church back to what it used to be.. Christina

Unless the Lord God had been present in your spirits, all of you would not have uttered the same cry. For, although the cry issued from numerous mouths, yet the origin of the cry was one. Therefore I say to you that God, who implanted this in your breasts, has drawn it forth from you. Let this then be your war-cry in combats, because this word is given to you by God. When an armed attack is made upon the enemy, let this one cry be raised by all the soldiers of God: It is the will of God! It is the will of God! Genesis XXVII:iii-iv Take thy arms, thy quiver and bow, and go abroad:and when thou hast taken something by hunting, make me savoury meat thereof, as thou knowest I like, and bring it, that I may eat: and my soul may bless thee before I die. Si hoc signum legere potes, operis boni in rebus Latinis alacribus et fructuosis potiri potes! "You are the ones who are happy; you who remain within the Church by your Faith, who hold firmly to the foundations of the Faith which has come down to you from Apostolic Tradition. And if an execrable jealousy has tried to shake it on a number of occasions, it has not succeeded. They are the ones who have broken away from it in the present crisis. No one, ever, will prevail against your Faith, beloved Brothers. And we believe that God will give us our churches back some day. I haven't seen an altar girl in ages, though I used to all the time. A cousin or two of mine were altar girls... It's strange, seeing things that as a kid I guess I must have thought were normal, and now having gone to TLM for ages, I forgot all about altar girls and when I do hear of it I think it's odd.

I'm in the Philippine Islands since July and as far as I have seen there are no female altar servers. However, Communion in the hand is the norm and is somewhat obligatory. I went up for Communion one Sunday and the EMHC told me, "Your hands" (meaning, give me your palm), and I said, No, and opened my mouth and stuck out my tongue, He gave me Communion in the tongue, If given the choice, I'd rather have altarboy girls (lesser evil) than Communion in the hand.
Another thing, the bishops here think they still rule who can and who cannot say the TLM, despite Summorum Pontificum. Thus, the the TLM is rarer.

Thats so weird...I have never actually seen a girl server
Lucky you....but where the heck have you been going to NO Mass? Altar girls seem to be as common as hand-holding during the Our Father. Ive never been to a NO mass...I guess that would be why! i have been attending SSPX since I was born... OP, thats great that they are not allowing, gives you hope ! I, too, have never been to a regular Sunday Novus Ordo Mass (funerals and weddings only). I converted from a High Church Anglican tradition directly into a TLM parish. My former parish had Novus Ordo Masses but I never attended them. Not my cup of tea. My current parish only has the TLM.

Be sure to heartily thank those young ladies who helped out, and suggest if possible another activity for them (i.e.: a group that tends the altar utensils). [/quote
That's a good point. Just this morning, I looked up at the Station of the Cross next to my pew, and the small plaque beneath it (that's at least 50 years old) said, "Donated by the Young Ladies' Sodality of St. Rose of Lima." I thought, "Hmm, another thing that mysteriously disappeared at the same time that lay people were supposedly becoming more 'active' in the Church."
