Did Mohammed offer any miracles? I understand that when asked, Mohammed would reply that the poetic language of the Koran was miracle enough. However, were there any miracles offered by him? I have heard that when Ali was killed, Ali's head was supposed to have appeared to a priest in the area (at least that is what is related....). I have yet to hear any miracles Mohammed preformed, though....Any help?

It does not matter whether Mohammed performed a "miracle" or not. Any such "miracle" would have been a deception of the devil. Remember that Islam is a false religion.

He did not perform any miracles, as he did not enjoy the Divine assistance in any way - something absolutely necessary for a genuine miracle.

I understand that any, "miracle," properly speaking, would not be coming from God. I only ask this question because I am drawing-up a few hand-outs for a CCD class I will be helping teach this Fall, and I was comparing Christ to Mohammed in this manner.

Now were there any Old Testament profits who never worked miracles, and refused to do so even when asked?

The Koran doesn't document any miracles for Mohammed. Some Muslims  argue that the spreading of Islam was a miracle, but this could also  just be that Mohammed was a good military leader; Islam spread by force  for the first few hundred years, Mohammed's successors followed his  example. Christianity was spread through peaceful means, we were  persecuted and murdered by the thousands in the first few hundred  years.  I can't imagine being more opposite...

The "miracle" of Islam is the koran itself allegedly.

no miracles were performed by Mohammed.  He was a false prophet and this is one of the ways we can be sure of this.

Most of Mohammed's "miracles" were made up after his death.  That being said, there can be miracles (by the strict definition of the term) in other religions, or even in false apparations, etc. within Catholicism.  The devil is quite happy to temporarily cure your body (we're all going to die someday, so any cure is technically temporary) to send your soul to hell.
