It's not exhaustive - it can't be.  There were too many Fathers who made comments about Scripture.  To compile all of them would fill hundreds of volumes and - let's face - neither you or I would read them all anyway.  We'd read a sampling of what the Fathers had to say about a given passage, and then move on.

 

Well, that's what ACCS does.  It gives you a sampling of about 3-5 Fathers per cluster of verses, sometimes more, sometimes less.  And it's not verse by verse.  That would also be tedious and boring to read.  So, for example, you'll get 5 or so quotes on what the Sabbath means in Genesis 2, 3-4 quotes about the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2, 5-8 quotes on Adam's role within the garden in Genesis 2, 2-3 quotes on Adam's marriage to Eve in Genesis 2, etc.  It works its way through the chapters of Scripture "topic-by-topic."

 

I'm guessing this is probably more like what you're looking for.
