WASHINGTON, July 19 /U.S. Newswire/ -- B'nai B'rith International is launching an Israel Emergency Fund in response to the horrific events in Israel. Its goal is to raise funds to assist the Israeli victims of terror and to help meet the ongoing personal needs of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers.
In the past week, more than 1,000 missiles have been fired into Israel, taking lives, destroying homes, wreaking havoc in the northern regions of the country. At the same time, Israel has been enmeshed in an all-out fight to eliminate the Hezbollah threat from Lebanon. And, embattled in Gaza as well, Israel has poured enormous human and financial resources into its ongoing fight for peace and security.
