My husband experienced some kind of trauma in his lower back yesterday.  By the time he went to bed he was hunching over to walk.  When I woke up this morning I realized he had slept very little and couldn't walk to the door of the bedroom.  Since he is unable to walk and didn't sleep last night I told him I would ask Fr. to bring him Holy Communion.

My question is this:  How do I greet a priest bringing Holy Communion into my home?  Thanks for any help!

Pax,

Do you have a sick call set?

You should meet the priest at the door with a lighted candle and have a holder for it near your husband's bed.

Thanks!  No I don't have a sick call set but I've got everything minus the linen napkin.  Does that matter?

Thanks ATC!
