Wives' Submission

My Catholic godmother married her husband David about 17 years ago.  Since their Catholic marriage, they and their son have converted and joined a non-denominational Christian church.  Since their church doesn't encourage its members to have close ties with people of different faiths, we rarely see my aunt (about once a year) and never see my uncle or cousin. 

 

Though we lack substantial proof, our family believes that David has forbidden my aunt to be close to our family.  It makes me wonder if her "conversion" is the result of having a corrupt, controlling husband. 

 

My mother, my godmother's sister, is worried about me because I'm going to be submissive to Blake when we get married.  Given my aunt's possible situation, I can understand that.
