What point are they trying to make? The Pope shoots birds? I can't understand the Arabic on the box (although the first word on the Pope's belt is 'Al-baba' which means Pope - my Arabic is really bad!) or anything else but I presume it's symbolic of something.

That Pope JP2 was a Pope of peace and ecumenism, and Pope Benedict is destroying that (i.e., killing the doves of peace that JP2 released).

 

And I don't even read arabic

The words on the Popes are just their names, Pope John Paul II, and Pope Benedict.  The box says "the harmony of religions" which could be translated as ecumenism.
