Sheep slaughtered in 'satanic' ritual

Police are hunting "devil worshippers" after a series of sickening "satanic rite" attacks on sheep at a national park.

Around 100 animals have been found slaughtered and mutilated with their tongues, eyes and sexual organs removed on Dartmoor in Devon in the past year.

All of the bodies had been arranged in a satanic star shape on the floor or laid out in a circle with their necks broken.

Most of the blood-thirsty rituals have been carried out during a full moon.

In the latest attack farmer Charles Mudge, of Tavistock, Devon, found 30 of his flock dead with bizarre half-moon symbols carved into their flesh. He discovered all their bodies lying near a bloodstained stone altar and wooden stake.

"We are absolutely devastated. It is disgusting," he said. "We don't know how they're doing it. But they must be people with dogs and have got to be used to handling sheep."

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said the majority of incidents have taken place during a full moon.

She added: "The killings are becoming increasingly vicious. We currently have no suspects."

It would be interesting to know whether these attacks are the work of real satanists or those who are imitating satanism or simply vandals with a taste for the theatrical.

In any case, the NO's apparent failure to mention the dangers of hell and satan often enough and the general failure to say the prayer to St. Michael after Mass must have contributed to this sad state affairs.

Well, Satanism has even been practiced in the Vatican - see Fr. Malachi Martin's book Windswept House. While it is published as a novel, many of the characters are actually real people but with their names disguised. Apparently Bp. Williamson has spoken to "Agnes", the little girl who was violated during the Black Mass concelebrated with the Enthronement of the Fallen Archangel Lucifer in St. Paul's Chapel in the Vatican. The Devil has gained a foothold in the Vatican, and this is going to continue until the end times - some people actually think that the Third Secret of Fatima is that the Devil will enter the hierarchy.

I have read The Windswept House - it is quite a depressing book in many ways.  One would certainly expect Satan to be more interested in the Vatican than anywhere else on earth - it's a pity so many there appear so eager - whether by accident or design - to give him a helping hand.

Fr. Amorth when being interviewed about why he and other exorcists were denied access to a general papal audience suggested that perhaps Satan didn't want them there lest they drive him out!  Of course, we cannot know the exact situation but it certainly causes you to wonder, and I would not reject it as a contributory factor to the post V2 chaos.

Maybe a whole bunch of trad priests, from all societies, should go to St. Peter's and start exorcising it...

That's a great idea.  If nothing else it would give the traditional movement a unity of purpose and be a positive force for good.

Yes, that shouls happen. Meanwhile Traditional Catholics on pilgrimage there should privately say the long prayer to St. Michael the Archangel while walking the streets of the Vatican.

The Satanic use of the pentagram was invented by Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan in the 60's.  The CoS is mostly secular humanist out of the hippy movement that uses Satan as a representation of their rebellion.  They are actually atheist in most respects.

The first person to associate a pentagram with black magick was Eliphas Levi in his book The Dogma and Ritual of High Magick, 19th century A.D.  He is also responsible for putting the goat head in the pentagram - he believed this to be the Baphomet of the Templars.  This is whom LaVey got most of his stuff from, also stealing from Crowley and an odd man named Ragnar Redbeard.

Previously, the pentagram in pagan ritual referred to Venus.  In Christianity, the pentagram referred to the five wounds of Christ.

Assuming Satanists were around pre-19th century, and I would assume this is the case, my conclusion is "real" Satanists don't use a pentagram.  That's not to say this act isn't Satanic, but even Satanism has "false religions".

And another angel came, and stood before the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer of the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which is before the throne of God.  And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints ascended up before God from the hand of the angel.
