Well, since a link to nationstates was posted, I might as well post a similar, more complicated game call cybernations. It gives you more options on how to run the country, such as official religion, military, infrastructure level, and other stuff you must see for yourself. Join sanctioned and unsanctioned alliances, become part of different organizations, and role play in the forums.

Cybernations

I run a country called Harmonia, which I based off a video game. But there are interesting countries like Papal States, whose leader, Pius XIII, runs the "Cyber Nations Catholic Church."

I have just created France and Navarre. The game seems to be more involving and fun.
