But what does Christ say about someone who scandalizes children?

Well, I pity an abusive husband such an awful fate, but a wife does not scandalize her children by bearing patiently the faults of her spouse.  Quite the contrary!  Again, I am not referring to cases of abuse when the safety of the mother and child is endangered.

If his faults include calling his wife filthy names, bringing pornography into the house, etc, yes seeing/hearing those things does scandalize children.

If filthy language is scandalous, I hope your (too many) children NEVER see your blog!!!!

For men - do any of you guys worry about your sons being able to find a Traditional woman that doesn't pepper their blogs with F-bombs?

Don't worry I'm pretty sure I'm the only one.  And I'm already married, much to the dismay of men everywhere.

This is one of those rare, shocking occasions where I can't figure out whether to say something super funny, super rude, or super over-compensatingly charitable.  Erin...Congratulations...I think.

Even F-Bombs aren't sins, or so I've been told by solid, Traditional priests.

Well, that's what I was told and others I know were told as well. Taking God's name in vain...yeah that's definetely sinful, but just using "bad words" was viewed more in the "distasteful" light than "sinful".

Oh yeah!! It's one of those blowing-up thingies that fall out of the back of one of those plane thingies in a war! :p Please don't insult my intelligence.

SSPX Priests from our parishes. I haven't asked every single one of them, but the one time I did ask, that was the answer I received. My friend also asked a different priest when we were talking over such things once and he said the same thing.

Yes.  Really.

I was told by a priest that while using vulgar language is not an ideal behaviour nor is it something that anyone (most especially a Christian) should be doing it is not, in and of itself, a sin.  Further he said that even in those cases where it may be a sin it is rarely if ever a mortal sin.

What if dropping the f-bomb incites lust?  I know it does for me when an attractive man uses it with certain tones.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.– Buddha

Note: According to this precept, I find that Buddhism is NOT true.  I have tested and judged many things, and the only Truth I have found is in God's One True Church: The Catholic Church.

Dear Lord, I know I can live by Your Holy Will every moment of my life, because You have given me faith that Your Grace will enable me to.
