I certainly did not intend to incite a riot. I mentioned that I could have heard wrong. If I do not see Fr. Perez this weekend I will ask other parishioners. When I am able to I will ask him to clarify his sermon. He has pointed out errors in the NO Mass and has said that we should at all cost avoid them. However, for a funeral or marriage there may be way out of not going. I believe Fr. Perez did say in Sunday’s sermon that we should not go to the TLM at parishes that offer the NO Mass as the ordinary rite. I will try to get clarification. I trust Fr. Perez. He’s the best. One forum member advises that anyone who wants to argue any religious points with him should do their homework well before you attempt any arguments with him on religion. I can’t agree more. Also, rest assure if Father said anything that was in anyway erroneous, believe we will hear it from Bishop Todd Brown by next Sunday. I also spoke with another priest from I parish today and he agreed that we should not go to the TLM at parishes that celebrate the NOM as the ordinary rite. He said Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions at this parish is OK. Actually, he said that it was a good thing that I had The Eucharistic Chapel At Saint John the Baptist to go to. I used to go to Mass at St. Mary’s by the Sea in Huntington Beach until the indult was revoked. St. Mary’s will again have a TLM on their Sunday Mass Schedule. I was thinking I could go there from time to time if I couldn’t get to OLHC. After Mass I was a talking fellow parishioner that also went to Saint Mary’s by the Sea and who was looking forward to assisting the TLM there as well. He saw me, shook my hand and said, “Well, it looks like we won’t be able to attend the Mass at St. Mary’s after all.†Of course he was refereeing to comments made in Father’s sermon. Daniel

To Modern Catholics: We are what you once were. We believe what you once believed. We worship as you once worshipped. If we are wrong now, you were wrong then. If you were right then, we are right now.

Now you pose the Hard question Trad Girl.Yes I have noticed abuses like a priest who gave his sermon thru a puppet, linus the puppet, and then the congregration clapped, like it was a performance, that church did not give me good feelings, and in the same church they have a seperate room in the back of the church where they have adoration 24/7,the people in there seem good,at the same church there is a very good priest. But the 2x I had to go to Sunday mass there it was "FR LINUS" and the puppet, never again, and I noticed at the 2 Sunday masses hardly anybody genuflected, and high school Eucharistic ministers,no more. And BTW if I cant recieve communion on the tongue from a priest,I wont go.
I have seen utmost reverence however, but I guess you must know who the priest is.Around here ST Peter Channel is the best, staffed by Oblates of the BVM,you can kneel there and they welcome it.
I know a priest named Fr Santan Pinto in the SOLT order. He is based in New Mexico but travels and gives talks, and has a healing ministry,I have seen people faint when he put his hands on their head, and he truly has many gifts. He read my soul when i went to confesson, and how can you fake that? The masses of his that I attended was the NO mass, actually 3 of them, and they are the ones that I wouldnt trade for anything. I know things about Fr ,that I cant repeat, but believe me,he is truly gifted. He is truly in touch with God. He was mother teresa's spiritual director, and as a novice priest spent time with her, then later she chose him as her spiritual director. This priest can lead you to God.
So I guess like I said its the singer not the song. And Fr is going to be in Ca this fall.A priest like that or even one with great reverence,I would attend their mass,"fr Linus" no way.
I would like to tell of something I witnessed at a healing session of his, there was a girl who when he put his hands on her, they shook violently for over a minute(most people it took a few seconds, and it wasn't violent),and then he talked to her for a couple more minutes, later she was seen crying and we heard her say"but how could he know" she just kept asking how could he know. Yes I will go to more of his masses if I get the chance,Wouldnt it be great if he knew the TRAD mass?

You are wrong. Fr. Perez is NOT a SSPX priest. He was vice-rector of the Institute of Christ the King seminary in Italy, so he must know for the most part what he is talking about.

There is no way an ICK priest would say that attending the NO was a sin.

There is no way an ICK priest would say that attending the NO was a sin. He was an ICK priest, and he didn't tell me at least that attending the NO was a sin. He left the order because of complications (not of his fault), but he left without any penalties whatsoever. He may, however, have been drawing closer to the SSPX.

Very sad to say,I am not suprised at much in the church anymore.
I truly believe you would have a domino effect of things improving, across the board, across the world,if the Pope would once for all with the bishops of the world, consecrate Russia to the immaculate heart of Mary.
As Nike says,"just do it"
