Please storm Heaven with prayers for me.  I'm losing my faith.  I can't pray today, all I can do is be angry and lash out at Him.  I'm even having trouble believing there really is a God.  I'm supposed to go to RCIA class tonight but I don't know if I can go listen to them tell me that God is merciful and loves me.  I can't take any more pain, physical, emotional or spiritual.  I keep thinking about my husband's affairs and I don't know if I can forgive.  I can't find a job and I can't pay my bills.  I have lost my patience after months of prayer and I'm even in the middle of a Rosary Novena Devotion, but I don't know if I have the strength to keep going.  I'm really losing it so please please pray for me.  Storm Heaven.

You are in my prayers.

Don't give up.  We must perservere in this life if we are to have any hope of peace.  There will be no peace if we turn our backs on God.  Read the book of Hosea, for it may be of benefit to you.

Have faith, the devil often messes around with people while they're going through RCIA.  I know it happened to me.  Trust in God's love for you, He's not the one causing your troubles.  This just shows how much the devil wants to keep one of God's own beloved.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.– Buddha

Note: According to this precept, I find that Buddhism is NOT true.  I have tested and judged many things, and the only Truth I have found is in God's One True Church: The Catholic Church.

Dear Lord, I know I can live by Your Holy Will every moment of my life, because You have given me faith that Your Grace will enable me to.

Gee, and I thought I had troubles. I guess it's hard to look outside myself and see that others have far worse problems than myself. Yes, you shall have my prayers!

Have courage and remember that this is an opportunity to purify your faith and make it stronger. I would suggest not dwelling on the doubts you may have instead make acts of faith throughout the day and ask Our Lord for the strength to persevere through this trial. It will surely not be easy but Our Lord is certainly with you in your tribulations.

Here is a short act of faith:

O My God! I firmly believe that Thou art one God in three divine Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; I believe that thy divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived.

You will be in my prayers.

You are definitely in my prayers! In fact, I'll put you on our prayer list at work. I suffer anxiety and often feel the way you do. When I can't pray I say simply "Jesus, I trust in you!" over and over. That simple aspiration has been my salvation more times than I can say. Fr. John Corapi said once he was so despondant he could only say the word "mercy... mercy" and Fr. Benedict Groeschel after his car accident could utter only the name "Jesus.."

At times like these we can't say long prayers. We can't even read the Bible. Just cry out to God like a little child. Unite your sufferings to the Cross. Remember all things are passing away. Troubles too pass away. And trust him to take care of you.
