You begin to contradict yourself, Donumabdeo.

How do you reconcile your two statements:

Quote
The soul determines the shape of the body.  The bodies of man and woman are of different shapes.  Therefore, the souls of man and woman are different.  Hence they are unequal in goodness.

Quote
a lower good does not indicate a less perfect good.   The angels in heaven are all perfect but there is a hierarchy of angels

Your reason astounds me, sir.

If two goods are unequal in goodness that does not mean that one is imperfect.  I don't see why that's difficult for you to understand.  Two things may be perfect while one may be of a higher goodness.

Furthermore to the hand argument: your example is not analogous.  Weight is a specific quality of matter.  While the weight of the two hands is the same, both are not perfectly adherent to their forms.  To say that two things are the same in some respects is not to say that the whole is the same or equal.

This we understand but you do not understand that men and [wo]men are of equal goodness being of the same human nature.

You mean essence not whole, right? If you do then you're wrong.

I know this topic is dead, but I just found this advert and thought it fit perfectly with this thread, so:

Jesus died for women and men, both. He died for all.  That makes women equal to men in the only thing that really matters.

What's with this insane obsession modern women seem to have with being equal to men. Just accept that you're not, and move on with your lives.

Stop with you misogynistic comments, please. You are in error, just face it, and convert to the Catholic truth that women are equal in nature to men both being human. If you do not stop I will be forced to suggest to the moderators to delete your posts and maybe even your account.

I love women, you know that I don't hate them.  My comments are not misogynist.  God bless our women, especially those who wear their veils and dress modestly, who never attempt to take authority over men, and are entirely submissive to their husbands.  If I say that a bull is a greater animal than a cow, I do not make myself a hater of cows.

They are the same animal.  They only differ in sex.
