Why do so many people here have a problem with "Eagle's Wings"?

i thought that when something blasphemous happened in a church that it had to be shut down until a certain ceremony was performed.  maybe that is just for when something happens to the MBS?
who is letting this happen, btw?  and why doesn't the Holy See put a stop to it?  the Baltimore Cardianl put the kibash on the female priest incident immediately.  why not here?
do you think that we are being punished?  i read somewhere in the OT that God allowed the Jewish Temple to be destroyed to punishs the Jews for not following His Law.  and since many Catholics(myself at the top of the heap) are so bad here perhaps it is the same?

They're not actually using the "church" proper, are they.

If they're not, what's the problem?

What exactly is the objection to the pope kissing the Koran?

Because it sucks, pardon my 'french'.

It's vapid, insipid, lame, self-centered navel-gazing twaddle that has no place being yodelled anywhere but some protestant huggy-fest.

Guess that's why it's so popular in the NO.

Well, I like "Eagle's Wings", which presumably makes me a vapid, insipid, lame, self-centred navel-gazing twaddling yodelling Protestant?  I said in one of these forums the other day: I am currently receiving instruction; I attend Mass, Novus Ordo, at the parish in which I am geographically situated.  I do not consider myself any kind of expert in Catholicism...  This was in the thread "Anyone else notice?"

yeah, and shortly after that the pope will look right at Jesus and say, "i do not know the man."  he might even do it three times.  oh wait...

i do wonder why some popes mistakes are held up while others are shoved aside.  what God forgives, He forgives.
i am really glad that i have to answer to Him and not y'all.  and i hope nobody holds you to your errors like you hold other people to theirs.
is not God Just?  if JPII deserved punishment for anything don't you think he received it?  why continue beating a dead horse.

Here's a question... if it's being used as a mosque, can we really call it a Catholic Church anymore?

Let's find out if we can use a Mosque for Catholic worship.  Let's see if it works both ways. (not)
