Interesting... however, it would be good to note that the theory of Global warming includes extremes on both sides of the weather spectrum. It just means that everything will be turned upside down....

A week or two ago, I saw Obama giving a speech, I think in Pennsylvania, in the blustery cold. He told people in the crowd to please put away their global warming signs. It was bad PR.

So...here it is just the ides of November and only a few weeks into fall and in Washington, D.C., the "Global Warming" crowd is having a meeting to discuss the huge amounts of warming the globe has experienced over the last few years.
Oh no! They're all gonna have a hard time gettin' around and some may not get in to land at the airport, 'cause there is a BIG SNOW STORM! comin' to town those days too! Well, ya, I guess you could spin it and say that all that cold weather is "part of Global Warming", while you put on your parka... And so it goes...It MUST be gettin' hotter...Its snowin' earlier and where it don't snow very often at all... ...yep, that's gotta be it... ...its gettin' WARMER...REALLY!! < we're DOCTORS!! Not in atmospheric sciences or anything, but we're... still doctors!

Zedta, While I agree that the whole 'global warming' (notice how many references now are to 'man-made climate change' instead of 'global warming?) thing is an engineered fraud to allow the NWO to take away even more of our freedoms, I would point out that using the date of the first snowfall is shakey ground.
Here in Edmonton, last year we got snow before Canadian Thanksgiving (first Monday in October) and by this point in Novemeber we had appreciable snow on the ground (which stayed, as always, 'til spring). This year, we have had only flurries so far. Global warming? No, just the normal vagaries of weather.

On our cruise to Alaska several years ago, the guide was bemoaning that 30% of the glaciers were retreating. She stammered when we asked if the remaining 70% were growing or simply staying the same.

You are about 2700 miles west and quite a bit NORTH of the Washington, DC location. You are also located in the middle of the Arctic Pipeline, where the cold Arctic winds blow down into Montana and the Dakotas. You've gotta be colder than it is at this time, normally, in Washingthon,DC. That moisture may be headed your way soon, as another Pacific Storm hits off to your west and brings it in with it. Meantime, Washington, DC is semi, sub-tropical. It should still be warm there. It is on the northern end of the warm southern states and it should be warmer now...they, as you know, say...Climate Change + or - temps...it don't matter...its "change". Zedta

Yes I'm in that Edmonton and I know quite well my geographic position vis-a-vis Washington, DC. My point is that it has not yet snowed appreciably in Edmonton this year which is quite unusual, but it is no more proof of global warming than snow in DC at this time of year is proof that global warming is false. It is just the normal variation of weather.

jovan, I am in total agreement with you. I am in no way trying to chanllenge what you've written here. It is Global Climate Change we are witnessing and probably with a trend towards colder rather than hotter, it would seem. That it is dry and yet still quite chilly where you are is an aberration in the weather cycles as is the sudden cold in Washington, DC. My only point is that such a sudden burst of cold air, so far south, so early in the year, is quite a marked change from the norm as to be remarkable and is rather unusual...as is your lack of snow so far this year. zedta

Zedta,
I skimmed through your thread, but there are many entries, so I might have missed one or two. Frankly, I'm astonished that no one seems to disagree with you. Ocean temperature rise is real, ocean rise is real, retreating ice sheets are real, more violent weather conditions are real. We could attempt to debate but I need to keep my day job and not get a PhD in climatology to prove my point. There was a time when people thought the world was flat, and there were camps on both sides of the issue. I'm not surprised you have found internet references that say global warming is a farce. There are even "scientific explanations" on 911 conspiracy theories that are ridiculous but people believe them (if we want to debate that, let's do it another day on a different thread). I think your group of scientists have it wrong, you think the other side has it wrong.
Maybe we can agree to disagree. In any case, I'm struggling to find out the reason you posted this. Ok, if I accept that global warming is a fraud... what next? Why does it matter if it's a fraud or not? How does it affect me if someone wants to make up this story? Are you implying that we are now free to buy Hummers without guilt and use all the natural resources we want, or did you mean something else?
The Pope spoke out in Sydney at World Youth Day telling us to take care of the environment, and has recently gotten solar panels installed at the Vatican to reduce his carbon footprint. Clearly the Chuch's message on this subject is to reduce consumption and respect the environment, regardless on if you think global warming is real or not...
