Well hello!

I'm new here (as you can all plainly see by this, my introduction).

I'm relatively new to 'traditional' Catholicism too and come from a rather odd sort of religious background. My mother is Anglo-Catholic and my father is a French Catholic, which unfortunately means a lot less than it should. I am baptised and confirmed within the Catholic church, but for a long time went to mass with my mother and have only recently 'branched out' on my own, attending the TLM at Brompton Oratory.

I first felt a call to deepen my faith when I was much younger, at the shrine of our Lady of Walsingham (a popular place here in England which brings High Anglicans and Catholics closer together in devotion to our Mother). A nun there gave me a rosary, which I use to this day. My father taught me how to pray the rosary (his greatest spiritual gift to me, ever) and it has always been a sure source of inspiration and guidance.

I have a few questions to ask, which I plan to post. I've been 'lurking' around your forums for a few weeks and have found your debates and conversation very interesting (if not a little obscure!): I hope you won't think it presumptuous of me to begin asking things before I've got to know you all... but this might be a good way to start.

That's more than enough from me. Thanks for reading this, wishing you all a very good morning-afternoon-evening, wherever in the world you may be.

With love, in Christ,

Evey.

I think it's special too: it's a little Pandora, but instead of horrors and vices, this one is releasing a multitude of butterflies!

And a big thanks to the rest of you for your warm welcome.

PS. Marty: England will restore what is rightfully hers!!
