Alaric,why not just get out of there? Not that Ca is much better now,there are places here that are better than others,but the prop tax is 1% plus a tiny bit more,varies, here in the peoples republic of Kalifornia.
CC I actually have family out in SoCal who've been out there for years,I went out there in the eighties briefly,was really gonna make the move,but couldn't convince my wife to leave her family back east,oh well you know how Italians are....But that was a while ago and a lot has changed out there,i don't think i'd like the current Mexi-fornia with all it's wildfires,mudslides,earthquakes,and riots,i guess you can keep all that and that fake-nazi,metro-sexual you got up in Sacremento,I'll stick to high taxes,lousy weather,crowded trains,and the occasional plane running into bldg's here.
