There is a case to be made that the Federal government had no business sticking its nose in the Schivo business. There were a number of conservatives that are solidly pro-life and didn't want the Feds involved. That doesn't mean they wanted her to die, but there are issues for setting a precedent.
The facts of the case seem to support the conclusion that Michael Schivo didn't have Terry's best interests at heart but it's risky inviting the federal authorities to come in and start deciding who gets what medical care, who dies and when Do want a federal bureaucrat telling your family what to do on your deathbed?

kjvail: You are correct. However, federal lawmakers are still citizens and human beings (I should think) that have every right and obligation to speak loudly and passionately in favor of life in these situations, not JUST say, "Well, the feds don't belong here, starve the lady if it's your will!" What a cop-out!

And just to be clear, Barak Obama is a dangerous leftist demagogue. The above statement should in no way be construed to be supportive of him.

I am trying to think of an instant when the Federal Government has NOT meddled in the affairs of the State or its citizens. One comes to mind: the Patriot Act. Citizens' civil liberties are no longer protected. Under the ruse of impending terrorism, the Constitution can be suspended and martial law imposed. If the feds can do this, why can't it obstruct the killing of a person by someone who has a lot to gain by this person's death?
Any other instant where the federal gov't gets its finger in the pie?

Pursue the dox; persecute the dox. In short ask the dox whether it is orthodox. ---G.K. Chesterton, Daily News, October 28, 1911 God Himself does not propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you? In thee, O Lord, have I hoped, let me never be confounded: deliver me in thy justice. The world was to be saved by the preaching of the Cross and on the Eucharist, and not by human wisdom or eloquence

So. . . nobody cares about the relationship between Obama, his minister, and Farrakhan?
Or is it that people just don't read my posts?

The prospect of President Barrack Hussein Obama absolutely terrifies me. There truly is something about him, and the veritable davidian-like cult that surrounds him, that smells profoundly sinister, far more so the Billary.
At the moment (call me whatever you like) my purchase for my Romanian AK-47 and 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 ammunition is currently in transit before it gets banned.
If history has shown us anything it is that the disarmament of the populace is a cornerstone in the foundation for the implementation of socialistic tyranny.
God bless, JRS

Would you please spare an AVE for my deceased Aunt Elizabeth who left us on July 16th 2010? May God reward you."Know this: it is by very little breaches of regularity that the devil succeeds in introducing the greatest abuses. Pax,I care and have posted about it,as well as point it out word of mouth to friends and aquaintances. But,you see its spring training for baseball now,and to Joe sixpack, who's on first is much more important.
And Joshua,I agree with you,but I wouldn't be putting that on the 'net,if I were you I would delete that post.
