I can not believe what I am reading. The FLDS are nothing but a disgusting cult, who cares if they are sincere? They're sincerely wrong.  Not only do they force children to marry old men, but sometimes they are even related! They will kick young men out of the cult in order to keep the young women for the older men.  This isn't about freely consenting to a relationship. They are forced.  I really suggest that everyone does a little reading about this from the women that have been brave enough to leave. I've followed this for a long time and it's really quite disgusting.

Here is a video of a woman talking about leaving the cult.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJAvqc5u9KM

And Eve, knock it off. You're trolling plain and simple and trying to start arguments again. This has nothing to do with Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary. Saint Joseph wasn't a rapist like these FLDS men are.

Spit on them as much as like AndreaW, but you won't recruit me to your vigilante hate group.

My vigilante hate group? Thats funny! I'm not affiliated with that group in any way, so why would I be recruiting? I posted those links so everyone can read what they actually do. If you've read it and think everything's groovy cuz they think they're doing the will of God...great.  I will agree with you on one thing though, and that's that we need to pray that God reveals his True Will to all of them.

The Catholic Church has many enemies and She herself is no stranger to accusations of sex crimes.

There is no comparison to be found between the Church and these bizarre cults. Regardless of whether you believe the charges raised against this rogue Mormon sect or not, or your predictions of future persecutions of the Church, you cannot make a fair and accurate comparison here. The Church posseses no equal among all these denominations and religions of the world, so the issues affecting the Church can have no equal.

I do not see why so many of you insist on defending a group of radical Mormons who stand accused of child abuse and exploitation, with an obvious record of cult-like activity and a founder in prison. The authorities were right to crack down on this operation.

We as Catholics should not be supporting the actions of these cults anymore then we should be supporting Muslim suicide bombers.

The manner in which you correlate these polygamist cultists who get cozy with prepubescent children to Holy Mother Church is despicable and perverse.

Don't be a fool Caesar.

This whole thing sets a bad precedent.

Do you think that Satan won't take any opportunity to destroy the Church?

This has nothing to do with the Church. This has to do with a corrupt, radical sect of Mormonism- itself a false religion with a corrupt founder- which stands accused of crimes against children. If these charges are false, then this will give these Mormons a chance to defend themselves before society. If these charges prove to valid, then the authorities were justified in their actions.

You speak of precedent? The precedent was set long before this little case.

If there is a fool here then it is you for siding with these Mormon fanatics. I dont like the idea of future persecutions against Catholics anymore then you do, but that is not a valid excuse for supporting injustice and evil in the present.

Remember, you cannot ally youself with the Devil against the Devil.
