I was wondering about this and then decided to ask others for their opinion.  All I'm looking or is a short answer.  Can you tell me, what is purpose of psychiatry?   What is it striving to accomplish?  With its study, what is it trying to achieve?  What is its goal?   (not looking for quips, just a factual answer)  Thank you so much in advance!
