Could your reaction of automatically believing everything that the recent Popes have said or done to be heresy just because you believe so poisoned? Which is more likely? Which is truth? I'll be my lot in which the SSPX having the Truth before you. They have a private revelation of our Lord a priest in the 70's revealing that the Archbishop was good and holy and right. We also have our Lady of La Salette talking about two bad REAL popes.
For one thing, I have never stated or insinuated that everything that recent popes (so-to-speak) have said or done is heresy. I do say that they have espoused on a universal scale, however, heresy and error, which like a drop of poison in a bucket of water, ruins the whole batch. The SSPX continues to say (with Abp. Lefebvre) that the 'New Church' is not the Catholic Church, yet declair it's head to be the pope; you cannot however, separate the pope from the Church. That means that if Benedict XVI is the pope, than we should all be going to our local parishes and not to masses of the excommunicate - because the Novus Ordo must, as a universal discipline lead towards piety and to the salvation of souls, as it is Catholic.
To say that the Pope can ALLOW the Church to go into Apostasy is different than saying he actually leads it into Apostasy. The late time I check they all believed in our Lord still so that would be heresy not apostasy in which case they wouldn't even believe in our Lord at all. And what of Pope John XXII? Did the College of Cardinal just submit to his error and later solemnly defined dogma? Come on. You're just trying to take the easy way out and say "well now I don't have to do anything because the Pope is not the Pope, I don't have to help my fellow Catholics in error because they're no longer Catholic". Why don't you start fighting the good fight for the faith with the Church?
John Paul II believed in Our Lord but at the same time beleived that false, pagan religions were the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and a means of salvation, which is a denial of the One True religion revealed by God - that's apostacy. And no, I'm not "just trying to take the easy way out," for as a Catholic I long for the voice of Peter to guide Christ's Church, however, I see contradiction in saying that I will not follow the man that I believe to be the pope and will ignore his universal teachings and disciplines. I cannot say that it is an evil practice to intercommune with heretics and schimatics, but at the same time say that the man who promulgated a Code of Canon Law that says it is okay is the pope, for example.
Which universal doctrines and disciplines? Last I check neither canon law nor the Missale Romanum of 1970 was universal disciplines. Popes Paul VI and Benedict XVI have made this clear. Pope Benedict XVI when so far as to say that Vatican II refused the mark of infallibility. Come on. I invite you to pray to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary for the light of wisdom and understanding from the Holy Ghost.
A.) The Code of Canon Law
is a universal discipline and law;
B.) Paul VI attached the teachings of Vatican II to the Universal Ordinary Magisterium, which is infallible;
C.) Cardinal Ratzinger, by approval of John Paul II, denied the Church's teaching on the Church, and said that heretics and schismatics are part of the Church of Christ, and that in their masses - even though they are leading souls to hell - the "Church of Christ becomes present in all her essential elements" (which means that they are fully part of the Church of Christ) and that anywhere where there is a valid Eucharist the "Church of God is built up and grows in stature." That is heretical, explicity and publicly, and is against all of the teaching of the Magisterium.
Edited to add: I almost forgot
the approval of a mass without a consecration, flying in the face of Trent's teaching on matter and form.
D.) You don't need to invite me to pray for anything, because as a Catholic, I already do. You seem to be extremely touchy simply because I disagree with the position of the SSPX - remember they are not infallible either.
