As much as I like those mantilla's no one wear's anything near that flashy at the Masses I assist at. I'd be afraid a hot pink mantilla might be a distraction from the Mass. Ya know?

I didn't see any aprons, though..

I've never seen hot pink, but there are a few women at my parish who wear gold or other colours that aren't just black or white. Thank God.

I'm not really much for the uniform look, so in my opinion, the ideal parish would have women using all sorts of headcoverings: hats, snoods, and scarves in addition to mantillas.

Praying for the dead is important. PM me if you need a cantor for the Requiem Mass of a deceased friend or family member. Have cassock and surplice, will travel. (Will also do weddings for a reasonable price.)

So, you don't think hot pink or a vivid chartreuse would be a distraction then?  Smile

Not really. That's just me, though. If I'm not singing in choir, I'm usually just looking down at a hand Missal. Noise is a lot more distracting than clothing colours.

Well, actually look what I snagged at the thrift store last week.  Smile Red.

Mine is silver-grey with Our Lady of Guadalupe woven into it.  It's quite a subdued color.  I got it from Halo-Works.  It's lovely.

Blessed feast day to you, then.  Smile
