You hear about people running around with whips and spiked chains and hair shirts and such (Opus Dei seems to come up around here), and I have a sort of morbid curiosity as to where one would get things like that. Does Opus Dei have an online gift shop where I could order a hair shirt or two? Ebay doesn't return any results either. I'm being silly but am genuinely curious where this stuff comes from.

I hear the CIA has an impressive selection that they'll be downsizing, can probably get a good price.

Failing that, there's got to be an Opus Dei supply catalog floating around the internet somewhere.

A good friend and worthy adversary.

Live your life in such a way that every morning when your feet hit the floor...Satan shudders and says..."Oh No...he's AWAKE!"

Sometimes the Internet reminds me of being in a chicken coop with an infinite number of Chicken Littles at any given millisecond dodging pieces of their falling skies.

There is a subtle difference between "invincible ignorance" and intolerably stupid.

I'd bet Opus Dei members get such things from the retreat centers.

From the site:

The metal ones look like they could cause an infection if you're not careful.  Please don't use this stuff without the advice of your confessor, and, even then, use common sense.

I wonder if this company really only makes these for "display purposes", or is this simply the excuse they have to give to the government.
