The duckies are too cute! Travis neeeeeeeds a chicken. I love chickens. I drag my family through the 4-H poultry barn every summer at the county fair. And goats and llamas, but the birds are the best. This year there were two Indian Runners, a beautiful fawn color, sigh.

Anyway, I looked into ducks for the eggs because one of my kids is allergic to chicken eggs. Duck eggs have a different protein. I found a local farm that sells them and Drew is very happy to have eggs back in his diet. Still, it would be nice to have our own pet ducks! Chopper could round them up every evening. It would be glorious!

I really, really want to keep it fresher, and there are all kinds of things I want to add (much of which I've arleady started writing). But I do have LOTS less time than I used to. It's hard to get used to! Every other week is pretty much fried, and the weeks in between turn out to entail a lot of "catch-up" with other work that needs to be done, but there are definitely things I want to add. I got a note recently from someone who asked about writing an article for atheists, but I haven't had time to properly respond yet. Maybe I could find a few other writers, too, out there (though they'd have to be warned that I'd be a heavy editor LOL)

Well, it's three months away, and we are mostly agreed that we just want it simple without a big to do. The date is October 25th, and we're having it here in Orange Texas at St. Mary's.
