Erica Burrus photo/ The Rev. Steven Soos stands in the sanctuary of St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church.

Now that looks like a real priest, not one of those namby pamby NO boys to men I see so often in my local parish.

Thats for sure. My SSPX Priest Fr. McDonald has an image about him like he could be a marine. But my NO priests look well... I'll be blunt less than manly.

Fr. Soos is a great priest. He is also a great role model for the boys (and men) of our parish. My 9yo son, who attends the SSPX school here (Queen Of The Holy Rosary Academy) Has Father as his Principal. Patrick "worships the ground" Father Soos walks on. He embodies manliness, and a quiet and self-assured leadership that is truly edifying.

That looks like it might have been a Byzantine rite church at one time.  Was it?

I agree warmly with you both... Father Soos is a wonderful priest and, matthew_talbot, I'm sure Patrick isn't the only QHR lad who adores Father Soos.

He very probably could... if he had to. He's quite peaceable generally, though...

Yes, it was, spasii. Sadly it passed through the hands of some evil sodomite group before the SSPX bought it.

True... well, that's over and done, and now it is in good hands again, restored and reconsecrated, laus Deo.
