What are some good penances for sins of impurity that one may have committed in the past?

If these sins are forgiven and are in the past, I think you should do the penance imposed by the priest and move on.

The above advice is good. It avoids scrupulosity.

If you come into temptation my pastor, Fr. G. Zendejas, SSPX recommends saying 10 Aves while kneeling on your knuckles.

I promise not to put anything here which might help us question our mind-forged manacles, inspire us, or help us in any way at all.

N.B.: I will not be posting on this site again until the Christmas octave. Have a good Advent.

I really like that. Knowing me, though, I'll be on my knuckles all day. I'll probably be barely able to use my hands after awhile. Then again, that's probably the point

Do the three Hail Marys daily as an act of reparation, and offer them up for the purity of other souls.

If you've gone to confession and done the penance, then I'd look into some plain-old indulgences.
