Units of the 10th Mountain Division that are stationed at Fort Polk Louisiana,were called on to assist in the aftermath of Katrina,my son being one of them.I just received an e-mail from him wanting to know who started the one about soldiers dis-arming private citizens who were trying to defend themselves from looters,then asked if paranoia still runs unchecked on this forum.Hey kclaib or whatever,what military were you in ? Methinks this is being done in Case Obama loses. There will be so many Blacks rioting it will look like a hurricane. Perhaps that is why it is called the three days of "darkness".  |

I think they might have a problem getting US soliders to shoot their own citizens. Some will, most won't.
Killing Iraqis is different because they are easy to demonise and hard to like, but the average American infantryman is not likely to want to shoot a man who speaks his language and supports his football team.

What of the Posse Comitatis Act of 1807? The only way troops can be used as a domestic police force, as ordered by the president, is under martial law. Think about it, folks. We have a looming economic crash and talk of an October surprise. These combat battalions are training 10 miles from my home at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado!

Unless the soldiers are inner city gangbangers or foriegn Nationals, or new immigrants all of which are being heavily recruited since 2001..... |

Most soldiers are not that though are they? More to the point their commanding officers certainly are not. Its the Army's command that makes the difference

May God forbid it. But if they declare martial law, I fear a lot of folks will declare guerrilla warfare in response. I pray that won't be the choice for any of us on FE. So bust our your Rosaries, brother, and pray some more of 'em. |

I was in the US Army, 3rd infantry division from 1974 until 1977. Which one were you in? |
