A travel Missal is just like a little black altar missal, yes?

I have a 1945. I dont know about 1962 or if one was even ever printed. In retrospect, it was a rather obscure year liturgically.

Well I was thinking more of the reprint formerly sold by St. John Cantius' webstore, but is seemingly perpetually out of stock.

So no one has a travel size Missale Romanum they'd like to part with?

I've never seen one for 1962. I have two from Pustet in Germany printed in the 1930's that are perfect for fitting in a briefcase. They are hand sized and are the full official text of the Missale Romanum used by the Priest. I have one in very good shape which is the one I use for assisting at Mass, and one very worn one I keep as a backup. There are a couple available here:
http://www.novaetvetera.de/vetera.html
and some here
https://secure4.visionsweb.com/loomebooks/search.cfm

They usually cost from $70 - $100. Or maybe some of the Book dealing Fisheaters have some.

Ahhhhh...I looked on the Cantius website and see what you are talking about now. That's an Altar Missal. The ones I was referring to are smaller (like 4x5 inches). Those are also referred to as "Chapel" editions, and are very hard to come by, and expensive when you find them.

If this is what you want you could self publish. The text is available for download here:
http://www.sanctamissa.org/en/resources/books-1962/missale-romanum-1962-pdf.html

You can have the text printed and take it to a binder. Here's a good one in here in NYC if you don't have any local:
http://www.finebinding.com/

They will tell you how to have it printed (you'll need it done professionally because they normally print in sheets with multiple pages and the order needs to change). Cloth bindings run about $125 for a book of this size. Leather about $500 or so, depending on how fancy you want to get, but you'll have a hand sewn book that will last for several lifetimes.

Hope this helps

I have a 1945 hand missal, which is simply the Missale Romanum, complete with everything, including the prayers for the Emperor, in a convenient size, for which I paid CD$4.00, but I'm not parting with it. Smile
