That went completely over my head, but I'll trust what you're saying anyways.

Ashamed that traditional Catholics have given in to the "bourgeosie" culture of the Protestant ethic. Hurt to think that those who should be salt for the earth prefer throwing sand in others eyes to Charity and conversion. Veteran ashamed to think my brothers and sisters should pray for the destruction of the nation I served, consumed in hatred. May good priests offer the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass for the restoration of the Church, because I don't know where to find her at all any more. God save us all, and God give us the answers, because it seems no one has them.

If you're not having children, don't marry. That's what it's for. If it was for pleasure, then the homos would be marrying too. So you're saying that my wife, who is barren as a result of physical abuse in her childhood should not have married, eh? A**shole!

Pope John Paul II said in the Theology of the Body::
“Eros must not be confused with lust. For Plato it represents the interior force that drags man toward everything good, true, and beautiful (47.2). It refers also to the natural and hence “good” desire experienced in the attraction of men for women and vice versa. However “erotic” desire is often identified with lust (47.3). Only through self-control can man attain that deeper and more mature spontaneity with which his ‘heart,’ mastering his instincts, rediscovers the spiritual beauty of the signs constituted by the human body in its masculinity and femininity. Self-control is an essential ingredient of purity of heart, enabling us to take possession of our desires and not be possessed by them, precisely so that we can freely give ourselves to love (48.5).
But the secular media (and others) who cannot differentiate eros from lust, laughed him to scorn for it. There are many who cannot see that sex is a mutual gift between husband and wife, but instead see sin in every pleasure. Take eating and drinking: We eat and drink primarily to survive, but, secondarily, we also receive pleasure in it. It is the misuse of eating and drinking that is gluttony and drunkenness - that is sinful. So, too, the marital act is primarily for the survival of the species, but, secondarily, we also receive pleasure in it. It is the misuse of sex that is lust - that is sinful. Pope John Paul II explained that lust (selfish gratification and lack of self control) could indeed happen even within a marriage. And like I said, the press had a field day.

- Lisa I have to disagree Lisa. When one begins to eat for pleasure's sake that is gluttony. When one eats and pleasure is a side effect, that is a different case. Likewise with sex.

So you are saying a married couple has to make sure it is always and only the fertile period when they decide to do their thing?

I'm thoroughly opposed to "natural family planning." It doesn't exist. If God wanted someone to have children, they'd have them (unless the person purposely killed the child before it was born, which is a grave sin). NFP is something I don't believe in. Sure, it may make it biologically less likely, but that is not where the gift of life comes from. People can try for years to have children, and not conceive. People can have tubal ligation ("tied tubes"), use a condom, and use the pill, and still get pregnant.
