Besides after Obama is sworn in I am sure that all "effective" firearms will be banned again. I'm leaning towards firearms.

really angryirishman live up to your name lad! and to the bhoys in the fishtanlk heres ballad for an angryirishman

My sweet little armalite

And it's down along the Falls Road that's where I long to be
Lying in the dark with the Provo company
A comrade on me left aye another one on me right
And a clip of ammunition for me little Armalite!

I was stopped by a soldier he said "you are a swine"
He hit me with his rifle and he kicked me in the groin
I begged and I pleaded oh my manners were polite
but all the time I'm thinking of me little Armalite!

And it's down in the Bogside that's were I long to be
Lying in the dark with the Provo company
A comrade on me left and another one on me right
And a clip of ammunition for me little Armalite!

Well this brave RUC man came marching up our street
600 British soldiers he had lined up at his feet,
Come out ya cowardly Fenians come on out and fight
he cried I'm only joking, when he heard the Armalite!

And its down in Bellaghy that's where i long to be
lying in the dark with the provo company
a comrade on me left and another one on me right
and a clip of ammunition for me little Armalite!

Well the army came to visit me 'twas in the early hours
With saracens and saladins and ferret armoured cars,
They thought they had me cornered but I gave them all a fright
With the armourpiercing bullets of me little Armalite!

And it's down in The New Lodge that's were I long to be
Lying in the dark with the Provo company
A comrade on me left and another one on me right
And a clip of ammunition for me little Armalite!

Well when premier came to Belfast says he the battles won
The generals they have told him we've got them on the run,
But corporals and privates while on patrol at night
They remember Narrow Water and the bloody Armalite!

And it's down in Crossmaglen that's were I long to be
Lying in the dark with the Provo company
A comrade on me left and another one on me right
And a clip of ammunition for me little Armalite!

Now one more which as a wee lad i'd sing with mama and nannie, jimmie and sean. I remember a moment on our way to Bodenstown June 11 to commemorate wolfe tone. and along the way we sung snipers promise amongst others, aye one of the happiest memories I have.
when it gets harsh down there angryirishman know you got the blood to outlast em.

Snipers Promise

The night was icy cold I stood along
I was waiting for an army foot patrol
And when at last they came into my site
I squeezed the trigger of my armalite

Oh Mama, oh Mama comfort me
For I know these things have got to be
But when the war for freedom has been won
I promise you I'll put away my gun.

A shot rang out, I heard a soldier cry
"Oh please don't leave me here alone to die"
I realized his patrol had run away
And left their wounded comrade for me to slay.

Oh Mama, oh Mama comfort me
For I know these things have got to be
But when the war for freedom has been won
I promise you I'll put away my gun.

"There's nothing in this world I would not do
If there's mercy in your heart you'll let me live"
And in his eyes I saw a look of pain
As the mussel of my gun moved towards his brain.

Oh Mama, oh Mama comfort me
For I know these things have got to be
But when the war for freedom has been won
I promise you I'll put away my gun.

The dawn was breaking as I reached my base
I will not forget the look on that boy's face
Fear, agony, and torment where all there
Oh but to your memory, mother, his life I spared.

aye
