Hello! Am getting ready to buy Christmas cards and was wondering if any of you ladies have any suggestions about where to find some good ones. I would prefer Madonna and Child cards, but would really prefer not to have to order online. Any of your local stores have any?? I really do not like sending out secular Christmas cards, but it seems I am finding less and less religious cards every year (big surprise right?).

Any suggestions would be most helpful!

My mother had great ones from the FSSP, exactly as you describe. I used them last year.

You could probably order by mail, or check their site.

Do you live in a city with an art museum? It is my experience that art museums (the general kind, with lots of different kinds of art) carry the most beautiful Christmas cards with traditional religious images at this time of year. That's probably where I'm going to get mine if I don't make them myself.

Also your local Knights of Columbus chapter should sell pretty Christmas cards, all with images of the Madonna and Child or Holy Family.

Funnily enough, I bought a whole bunch of Christmas cards from Target a few years ago.  They were really nice and had very traditional artwork.  They even had some with the Vatican on them.  You could always check there.

I found some really beautiful cards, probably what you're looking for, at a Hallmark store. Surprised me!

I'm not a lady, but I bought our Christmas Cards this year from the Benedicine Monks of Conception Abbey in Conception, Missouri.

Try Marshalls.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I hadn't even thought of Marshall's..good idea. I will definitely hit all of the stores mentioned and am checking out the websites selling cards today. I'm so weird about ordering stuff online though for whatever reason...I need to get over that

Thanks again!

When you're in Cincinnati, go to Trinity Church Supplies across the street from St. Lawrence Church in Price Hill. We have boxed Christmas cards (all holy ones) at half price. ;)

I have a friend who scored a ton of classic Madonna and Child cards at the DOLLAR STORE.
