Hamas calls for third intifada

Khaled Meshaal, the political leader of Hamas, has called for Palestinians to wage a new intifada against Israel, including a return to suicide missions.

In an interview on Al Jazeera, Meshaal said: "We called for a military intifada against the enemy. Resistance will continue through suicide missions."

Meshaal's call came after Israel hammered Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 220 people in one of the bloodiest days of the decades-long Middle East conflict.

Meshaal said Hamas had accepted "all the peaceful options, but without results."

He said that for there to be any talks with the people of Gaza, "the blockade must be lifted and the crossings [from Israel] opened ... notably that in Rafah," which leads to Egypt.

Meshaal was referring to a blockade imposed on Gaza after Hamas full seized control of the overcrowded, impoverished strip from forces loyal to moderate Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas in June 2007.

The Hamas leader, who live in exile in Syria, said he was open to reconciliation with Abbas, but demanded that the Palestinian president cease negotiations with Israel.

"Neither rockets nor suicide operations are absurd, but negotiations are," he said.

Hamas has not carried out a suicide attack on Israel since January 2005.

The first intifada, or uprising, broke out in 1988, and was followed by the 1993 Oslo peace accords, which led to a certain degree of Palestinian autonomy with the creation of the Palestinian Authority.

A second intifada broke out in 2000 and eventually ran out of steam three years late

All caused by Isreali aggression and genocide against the gaza strip...period end of story. Blood begets blood, and Zionists are bathed in twice as blood as the Islamist. How can the Prince of Peace's blood be violently spilt without there being residual violence? Thes two so called religions are both of violence, but the Zionists are worse.

though i agree with much of what you said. i strongly disagree with the zionist being worse. lets remember mohammadanism is the sempiternal enemy of our holy religion. we have been in open war with mohammadans since satan visited mohamet. this is not the case with the zionist.

Fair but erroneous...the Zionists are the progeny of Caiaphas and the apostate Jews who slaughtered The Lord (or had the Lord) Modern Judaism roots pre date the "Christian" Heresy of Mahomet's. Islam is at war with our Lord as trinity and his bride, Zionism is at war with Jesus in any form. (Also Islam shows erroneous respect to Our Lady) Zionist call Mary a W****re. I believe Islamists could be converted to Christ much easier then the Jews if ever a Miraculous Global Event occurs. (Opinion)

Zionism has more roots with marxism then to biblical judiasm. Thats why jews such has hasids (themselves not even close to biblical judiasm) are not zionist. Just saying.

Well if your sayin that fella is a hasid your wrong. just because he has payos doesn't mean he is a hasid. he certainly doesn't look hasid. I don't know what you want me to say. modern judiasm is a funny thing. Showing me a drunk of any religion doesn't show me anything. ive been in far far worse shape me self.
But be honest. Can catholics go to the holy land on pilgrimage under present zionist rule? Would we be allowed under hamas rule? can the catholic church be in present day zionist controlled Isreal? Would she be allowed under hammas rule? Anyway Look. Thats not mohamadan land anyway. Thats catholic land!

funny lol'
I take your point but I feel that both are two horns on the same satanic goat...but it is the Jews that have shown themselves to be quite wicked and secular, fact is all of the Holy Land Belongs to the Church, I would support (and maybe join) a properly called Crusade against both anti christs

Voxpop,

I would strongly recommend deferring to DK. No threat, he knows things.
