Sounds a little Rwanda starting up all over again, what with the hacking of bodies with machetes.
Pray the Rosary for Africa.

Stupid tribal violence.
The poverty is not necessary. Central Africa is very rich in minerals, even in oil, and many diamonds. Like Botswana and Zimbabwe. Only Botswana seems to be doing fine, like Namibia. They both do not have a Marxist-African ANC-like past like the rest of the African content, including deteriorating ANC-controlled South Africa, once the pearl of the continent (not that I approve of Apartheid, but the Boer governments were better, also for blacks in medical and economic-social terms, despite racial segregation and discrimination they had housing and hospitals and schools).

While it is true that, at root, this is a tribal conflict, it is complicated by the fact that the attackers were, most likely, the Acholi of the Lord's Resistance Army, the 'military arm' of an 'Africanised' protestant heresy. So the poor victims had the misfortune of not only belonging to wrong tribe, but also the 'wrong' Church. Let us pray for their souls!

Yes, but the governments are so corrupt. It's ironic, but the natural resources are really curses in disguise for the people of Africa in many instances.
