A question, are you on cathinfo?

No - never heard of it...

Until I looked it up a minute ago.

Is it the same username? I would've preferred to use Athanasius, my confirmation name, but it was already taken.

Hi Stephanos! Welcome to the forum. It's a great source or information (even if opinions differ) and a sanctuary from the vices of the modernism. I just found this forum not more than three weeks ago and found that it is a great way to remain in constant communion with others who have embraced the truth as you have.

May God bless and keep you forever in His heart.

"The practice of the Church has always been the same, as is shown by the unanimous teaching of the Fathers, who were wont to hold as outside Catholic communion, and alien to the Church, whoever would recede in the least degree from any point of doctrine proposed by her authoritative magisterium" (Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum, no.  9, June 29, 1896).

“Wherefore, brethren, labour the more, that by good works you may make sure your calling and election. For doing these things, you shall not sin at any time” (2 Peter 1:10).

Welcome.  I am from Southern Indiana but my great aunt (deceased) lived in Lafayette, LA years ago and we visited her back in the mid-sixties.  I love Louisiana.  It (historically at least) has been one state with a strong Catholic history and tradition.

Yeah, once you look past all the corrupt politicians and miles of highway litter, it's really a nice place.

But seriously, I do admire its Catholic history, like you say. And there seem to be quite a few new Latin Masses starting up because of the Motu Proprio.
