The problem is, there is no pro-life alternative for those who need free pap smears, std testing, and other low cost gynecological health services. The pro-lifers should provide these things, so women in poverty have an option besides PP.
I know of at least 5 Crisis pregnancy and free pregnancy help within 5 miles of where I live, also in Philadelphia (nearest Metro to me) there are dozens more, this is a FALSE(or uninformed) ASSERTION! All of them provide counseling, testing, pap smears, ultrasounds and adoption refer all.
And what about women who are not pregnant?
are you seriously trying to tell me the only place a woman can go without funds to get gynecological treatment is PP? PLEASE, that's just laziness on the part of the woman. Any crisis pregnancy center will be able to help ANY woman find a sympathetic Doctor who doesn't kill babies....and if she cant then she is not worthy of Christ if she is willing to go to the baby killers just to get free health care (as far as I can tell gynecologists rarely deal in life and death health issues)

If you go to a free clinic for a well-woman exam, they will refer you to PP. Catholic charities in Austin, TX is working on developing a pro-life center for women's health, but they still don't have enough funding for it. Edited to add: Women generally have more gynecological needs if they are sexually active, even if they are in a faithful marriage. Many of these problems, UTIs in particular come to mind, can lead to life and death issues if left untreated. If you think gynecological issues are rarely life-threatening you are very ignorant about women's health.

Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.– Buddha
Note: According to this precept, I find that Buddhism is NOT true. I have tested and judged many things, and the only Truth I have found is in God's One True Church: The Catholic Church.

Eh, Planned Parenthood isn't all evil. They have done a lot of good to promote the HPV vaccine which could dramatically reduce ovarian cancer in the US. Not to mention the damn near free STD testing they offer to the public. Do you not know that many vaccines are produced with murder fetuses of the unborn children of God as well? Planned Parenthood is totally and completely evil. I think of it like a religious order of the mystical body of Satan. Some people in it may not be totally evil (though it's hard to see how one could good in it) but the insitutition is. It is an evil society, like the SSPX is a good society or maybe, say, more like some traditional "pro-life" society is.

No, crisis pregnancy centers do not have any services available for women who are not pregnant and need health care. But they should. Think about what a good influence they would have on women-- Isn't it important to change the way women think about abortion before they are pregnant?

I'm sure most common everyday folks would not succumb to death before seeking free healthcare at PP. This is precisely the problem, and the reason that PP remains a necessary evil in many people's minds.
