I noticed that the Title of this sub-forum has changed.  It is good that there is no longer any reference to "Indult" since that is history in the wake of Summorum Pontificum.    On the other hand, I don't think the questions involved are limited to a choice between "Diocesan" vs. "SSPX".  For example, the Apostolic Administration in Campos is subject to the Holy See, however, it operates independent of the Diocesan structure.  Nor should those communities operating in an irregular situation (without jurisdiction and faculties) be limited to the SSPX.  We are really discussion the difference between those communities that are DEPENDENT on the Holy See and the Ordinaries vs. those that act INDEPENDENT of the Holy See and the Ordinaries.  Therefore, would not a better sub-forum Title be as follows:

Dependent "vs." Independent Discussion

Then again I asked him, "supposing the Pope looked up and saw a cloud and said 'It's going to rain', would that be bound to happen?"
"Oh, yes, Father."
"But supposing it didn't?"
He thought a moment and said, "I suppose it would be sort of raining spiritually, only we were too sinful to see it."

I think of it as "SSPX versus the world!".

Others see it as "The world versus SSPX!"

Maybe it's easier to name it "StevusMagnus versus newschoolman".

When next you hear some attack called an idle paradox, Ask after the dox.  Pursue the dox; persecute the dox. In short ask the dox whether it is orthodox.

God Himself does not propose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you?

In thee, O Lord, have I hoped, let me never be confounded: deliver me in thy justice.

Were it not for the encouraging private messages that I get, I would get the impression that it's FE vs. newschoolman.
